چکیده

This paper investigates the performance of hydrogen-fueled, spark-ignited, single-cylinder Cooperative Fuel Research using experimental and numerical approaches. study examines effect air–fuel ratio on engine performance, emissions, knock behaviour across different compression ratios. The results indicate that λ significantly affects both with a value 2 yielding highest efficiency lowest emissions for all tested Combustion analysis reveals normal combustion at ≥ 2, while knocking occurs < irrespective Livenwood–Wu integral approach was evaluated to assess likelihood end-gas autoignition based fuel reactivity, demonstrating possibilities are consistent investigations. ignition timing maximum brake torque conditions demonstrates knock-free stable up = 3, increased lower values. To achieve those low λs, spark timings retarded after top dead center crank angle position. Engine-out NOx consistently increase in trend decrease which distinct variation is observed an ratio.

Experimental Study of Hydrogen Addition Impact on Emissions and Performance of a Natural Gas Fueled Engine

Hydrogen is seen as one of the important energy carriers of the future with potential to reduce local as well as global warming. The main by-product of the combustion of hydrogen in air is water vapor and trace quantities of oxides of nitrogen. An experiment was conducted to study the impact of hydrogen/natural gas blends on performance, thermodynamic efficiency and exhaust gas emissions in ...

Theoretical and Experimental Analysis of OM314 Diesel Engine Combustion and Performance Characteristics Fueled with DME

Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) combustion is a pioneer method of combustion in which pre-mixed fuel and oxidizer (typically air) are compressed to the point of auto-ignition. HCCI engines can operate with most alternative fuels, especially, dimethyl ether (DME) which has been tested as a possible diesel fuel due to its simultaneously low NOx and PM emissions. In this paper a ...

Emission Performance of a Diesel Engine Running on Biodiesel Fuel at Different Compression Ratios

In the present study emission performance of a diesel engine (Lister Petter) was evaluated at different compression ratios and engine loads with soybean methyl ester and its 25%, 50%, 75% blends with diesel fuel at constant speed 1500 rpm. Exhaust emissions included CO, CO2, HC and NOx. The compression ratio and engine load varied from 14 to 20 with an interval 1 and 25 to...

Combustion and Emission of a Compression Ignition Engine Fueled with Diesel and Hydrogen-Methane Mixture

The present study conducted experimental investigation on combustion and emission characteristics of compression ignition engine using diesel as pilot fuel and methane, hydrogen and methane/hydrogen mixture as gaseous fuels at 1800 rev min. The effect of gaseous fuel on peak cylinder pressure and heat release is modest at low to medium loads. At high load, the high combustion temperature and hi...
